The information is stored inside the code, so we can’t switch it off – it works for as long as your content exists.
Codes are made in your browser. What you type and the logo you add stay on your device.
Sharp SVG files for print, PNG up to 4096 px, and automatic error correction when you add a logo.
The Address QR creates a page with an exact map pin, the full address, a landmark and a phone number – with a short link and a QR code. Ideal for deliveries, gates, venues and visitors.
Yes. You can create as many QR codes as you like without signing up. There is no watermark and no limit on scans.
Static codes never do: the information is stored inside the code itself, so it keeps working forever. We can’t switch it off, and there is no subscription to keep paying.
A static code contains your link or details directly – it works forever but can’t be edited after printing. A dynamic code contains a short link that a company redirects for you; it can be edited and counted, but it stops working if that company switches it off, which some services do when a free trial ends. Codes made here are static by default. With a free account you can also make editable codes, which stay online for 365 days at a time, and renewing is free.
No. Codes are created in your browser, and the details you type and any logo you add are not sent to us. The exceptions are things you choose to save: the Address QR page stores the address so it can show it at its short link, and with an account you can save codes or create editable ones, which stores those details on your account. If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to count visits and which QR code types are popular – never what is inside your codes.
PNG works everywhere – websites, documents, social media and messages. SVG is best for print because it stays sharp at any size, from business cards to banners.
Yes. Choose an image from your device in the Design section. It stays on your device. We switch the code to high error correction automatically so it still scans – but always test it before printing.
At least 2 × 2 cm (0.8 × 0.8 in) for codes people scan up close. As a rule of thumb, a code can be scanned from about ten times its width, so a poster across a room needs a much larger code.
